Our Friday adventure part II

The other part of our Friday adventure, also in Crown Center was visiting the fairy tale village exhibit they had going on for free (free is always good in our world).

They had kid-sized little rooms built inside a large exhibit area...just large enough for kids to dart through the passages and me barely to squeeze through as I chased them from spot to spot...
Here they are checking out the Little Red Riding Hood area...you could push the button on the wall and it would say a line from the story...honestly some of them were a little creepy..."My what big teeth you have!" LOL
Liam thought being a knight in the castle was awesome!
When Delaney pulled down the rope, the curtain swung back and revealed Sleeping Beauty, who was also a little creepy...kind of haunted house style if you ask me, but she thought it was cool.
Liam really enjoyed hopping across this bridge.
Here's Delaney sitting in Mama Bear's chair from the Goldilocks room.
Me and the kids...I am totally squeezed in this little tiny space...
Here they are sitting in Cinderella's carriage...they can never ever look at the same time...sigh.
Well that was the last of the Friday adventure...as you can see they really enjoyed it. Now it's time for a big brother adventure soon!

Wordless Wednesday

I know "wordless Wednesday" is technically supposed to be wordless, but I can't help but comment on these pictures...

A couple of years ago, the husband and I decided we should get a dog. All kids should grow up with a dog, a dog would provide extra security for the house, all the normal dog-getting reasons...

He wanted a boxer. I told him how I had an immense dislike for the breed (I had one in the past - can you say stupid & stubborn?? Oh wait, that was my ex-husband...). He persisted and one day came home with this:

Cute little booger, wasn't he?? However, ALL puppies are cute at one point... A white boxer is also an anomaly generally considered a "defect"...My handsome, sweet husband felt sorry for him and therefore we ended up with him. Now as he makes messes and accidentally plows everyone over in the house, it's generally US who are sorry....

That adorable little puppy soon grew into this:

Look at the awkward, gangly, all-legs, vision of goofiness we now have residing in our household. There are the two dogs...the other is a terrier named Scrappy, but we'll tell his story another day...normally they are fighting and picking at each other constantly but I happened to catch this rare moment of snuggling so I felt compelled to snap a few shots.

Now for the mugshots...

Mugshot #1: Front view. His name is Buster but I think we should have named him Mugsy...he looks like a Mugsy, doesn't he??

Mugshot #2: Side view. Check out the saggy lips...ridiculous looking silly creature.

He's lucky the kids adore him! lol

Wordless Wednesday

The toy of the day yesterday was this pair of safety goggles found in the junk drawer of the kitchen. They had a blast playing "bug" and "spaceman" and all kinds of things...love it when we spend hundreds of dollars on holidays and birthdays and they want to play with things like this...sighhhh. Have a great Wednesday everyone!

M-I-Z.....Z-O-U

We are big MU fans around here. Even the little ones know it. The daughterling begged for this new cheerleader outfit when we were out shopping yesterday and her daddy is a sucker. :) However, why is it that taking pictures of two little ones at the same time is I-M-P-O-S-S-I-B-L-E??

The littlest has his eyes closed here and I have no idea if she is sticking out her tongue or what...

Here he looks like she just scared the crap out of him...hilarious!

Here is the cute little ornery smile that I love and of course she is not paying any attention...

Now I get the cute dimples from her and he is not looking...

Now this is some sweet sibling love and about as close as I'm getting...I give up and call it good at this point. :)

Here's to hoping for an MU Tigers victory tonight!!
